Join in the Fun at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club
Did you know that Seven Springs Golf and Country Club, located at 3535 Trophy Boulevard in New Port Richey, is open to the public? It is! You can bring your family to dine in their gorgeous dining room, or you can pay to play their beautifully manicured golf courses! That said, have you ever thought about joining a country club? A membership offers a myriad of benefits, from unlimited access to golf and tennis courts, to amenities like heated Olympic-sized pools, the clubhouse, saunas, and an endless amount of activities to participate in. The dining is exquisite, offering everything from casual fun-food to Sunday brunches and Prime Rib nights. It’s an absolutely wonderful experience to be a part of a country club, and Seven Springs Golf and Country Club (SSGCC) is a place where the whole family can benefit. With activities for ages 3-103, and affordable new memberships to fit everyone’s budget, there’s never been a better time to join.
The Seven Springs Golf and Country Club is a part of our local history. While the club itself has served members for three decades, SSGCC has a history that goes back as far as the early 1900s when a young couple, Sam and Elizabeth Stevenson, believed that the mineral springs had health benefits. They diverted the water from the springs into a pool and created a bit of a resort around it. As a result, many people came to our area for rest, recuperation and relaxation. An old school house was built on the property in 1913, which has its own history and has since been moved, but the lesson left behind is that the rest of Pasco County has literally grown up around it. The entrance to SSGCC has a historical marker that reminds us that the springs have been a destination for over a hundred years. Today SSGCC continues in that vein by being a destination for people of all ages who want to have a premier, exclusive experience that provides safety, community and a whole lot of fun to its members.
Whether you like the idea of slipping over to the club for some R and R at the adult-only pool or the heated family pool, or are looking for a place where you can chip away at your golf game; or perhaps are interested in the many social events, games and activities that go on throughout the week, month and year, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re joining for the adult activities or to give your children the experience of growing up playing and learning at the club, or are simply interested in the unlimited golf, there’s always something great happening. From “Aquacise” classes in the pool to tennis on the courts, to playing Bocci Ball and Pinochle––whatever your game, it’s not hard to see why many people call Seven Springs Golf and Country Club the best kept secret in Pasco County.
Wendi McAnn, Club House Manager, says, “I see our club as a destination for the people in our community. And our dining options are amazing, from bar food to fine dining, tapas and wine diners. Our club offers a sense of community that is unique.”
The dining at SSGCC is a reason to join the club in itself. Each menu has an attention to detail that you won’t find anywhere else, and the sense of community that comes with dining at the club is just not something you can find at a typical restaurant. When you come into the club, the people that you meet become friends, and it’s those friendships that create the community that is membership. When you come in to dine at the club, whether you’re alone or you’re with your family, you are welcome. You’re greeted by name and you know those around you, or you will soon. It’s one of those rare places where you talk to the people at the table next to you, give a wave at the people walking by – in a sense it’s like going back in time to a safer, happier place.
Of all the benefits that are offered in a SSGCC membership, the one that really speaks to me is the sense of peace, the true feeling of belonging and the camaraderie that comes with it.
Joanne Dinus said, “Seven Springs Golf and Country Club is a great place to golf and meet wonderful friends!”
There are a variety of membership options including seasonal, weekend and weekday only memberships, so if you’ve ever wanted to experience a country club and its benefits, look no further than Seven Springs Golf and Country Club.
Fun is Par for the Course
You don’t have to be a member to play golf at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club, as the courses are open to the public, and affordable too! Of course, membership has its benefits, one of them being unlimited golf!
Golf is a unique sport in that it’s you against you, and the game is always changing. Not because the course changes, but because you do. The slightest change in your swing, or the tilt of your hand, or a bird in the air, can alter your game. It’s been a game that has both challenged and delighted people for generations, and it’s never too late to learn the game, pick up where you left off, or better your score.
The beautifully manicured greens of SSGCC have a lot to offer the golf enthusiast. Starting with two completely unique courses, one being a Par 72 Champion Course, and the second being their Par 64 Challenger Course, Seven Springs is the perfect place to hit the links.
Offering a fully functional practice facility that features a driving range, four target greens, a pro shop and a large fairway bunker, golfers can enjoy practicing, or run up to the club to hit a bucket of balls even when they don’t have time to play 18. From putting greens to lessons by Head Golf Professional Mark Haluska (who has 30 years experience teaching golfers of all ages) or Assistant Golf Professional Mark Boyko, the golfer will feel completely at home at SSGCC.
Class, Elegance and Vision
Seven Springs Golf and Country Club is the perfect place to host a party of any size, whether you want an intimate gathering with family and friends or you’re looking for the ideal venue for your wedding reception. Pros at hosting a variety of big events, including, of course, golf tournaments, SSGCC makes planning any event a breeze. It’s no surprise then that their motto is, “You create the memories, we will do the rest.”
Offering a variety of affordable and comparable packages, and an array of elegant rooms to choose from, brides rave about their wedding experience.
Dana McDevitt said, “Wendi and Courtney did an awesome job of making our wedding reception everything we hoped for! The room was set up perfectly and the food was delicious! Our friends and family are still raving about what a great time they had at our wedding!”

Golfers send message to Boston bombing victims
NEW PORT RICHEY —
A group of golfers in Pasco County haven’t lost their competitive edge after losing arms and legs and they’re sending out a message to the victims of the tragic bombings in Boston.
When it comes to golf, they’re good. They’re all amputees but that doesn’t matter. The phrase “I can’t” doesn’t sit well with this crowd.
They gathered at Seven Springs Golf and Country Club in Pasco over the weekend for the Southern Amputee Golf Association Regional Championship. Kenny Bontz lost his leg from above the knee down.
“These legs and arms are too advanced right now to not be able to do what you want when you want to do it,” Bontz said.
It is not a small tournament. There were 46 players from 18 different states and the competition was stiff.
They want fellow amputees to know losing an arm or leg doesn’t mean it is time to give up. They have some advice for the bombing victims recovering in Boston.
Mike Hudson said it won’t be easy, but when the time is right, get out there and live.
